Billy Cobham with his matchless, dazzling and ambidextrous style is one of the few artists who have been recognized as World Class Master for a career dedicated with the same intense passion in countless collaborations.
From his beginnings Billy Cobham develops as the innovative musician that we know: historically through the long experiences with Miles Davis, and through the collaborations with the Mahavisnu Orchestra of John Mc Laughlin as well as, other performance situations, among them the Grateful Dead. Figure of reference for generations, his fast and explosive drumming, has created a category and also an important part of the modern music history. In his 40-year-old career, he performed beside illuminated jazzmen and other important names in the world of music. Amongst them it is fundamental to cite: Horace Silver, Chick Corea, Freddie Hubbard, Benny Golson, Stanley Turrentine, Larry Carlton, Oscar Peterson, Count Basie, Ray Barreto, Roberta Flack, Stan Getz, Gary Husband, George Benson and Peter Gabriel with which, among other projects, he has recorded Passion for the “The last Temptation of Christ”sound-track by Martin Scorsese.
With his personal musical imprint, that can be compared to great innovators like Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis or Jaco Pastorius.
His Album ¨Spectrum¨is considered one of  the headlines of the Jazz Rock of the XX Century, with over 7 millions of copies sold.

With his great musical personality, Cobham is one of the few jazz percussionists that have founded own groups; among them we cite the Dreams featured also siblings Randy and Michael Brecker and John Abercrombie; Spectrum  Band featuring Frank Gambale, Tom Coster and Victor Bailey, Art of Three featuring Ron Carter and Kenny Barron, The String Quartet featuring Didier Lockwood, Sylvain Luc and Victor Bailey,  Culture Mix Quintet: his main project from 2001 worldwide on the road.
