Williams and Etheridge are more than a simply couple guitar
duo. Williams, is perfect in his technique an elegant
in his playing.
Etheridge is jazz-oriented, energic and original, he switches
between acoustic and electric guitar, often contorting his face
dramatically while playing the latter, as if trying to squeeze
more music out.
Their program is, not surprisingly, eclectic. In solos, Etheridge
favored blues and swing, and Williams's focus was folklike music
from Venezuela and Paraguay. Together, the guitarists plays
works from Senegal, Mali and Cameroon in a distinct jazz fusion
idiom.
As summary, a perfect balance of emotion, technique, styles
and musical sensibility trough the art of 2 guitar genius of
our time.
